Features

b.tree is a beekeeping management tool for people who need more than a simple hive note app. It is built around structured, tabular data so beekeepers can keep an overview even with many apiaries, colonies, years of inspections, treatments, feedings, harvests, queens, and tasks.

A key principle: your data stays available to you. Important records can be exported, reused for your own statistics, archived, or processed outside b.tree.

Apiary and colony management

Create apiaries, manage colonies, move hives between locations, assign queens, and keep the history of each colony visible. b.tree helps you document real beekeeping work across sites, teams, and seasons.

Digital hive records

Use b.tree as a digital hive record system for inspections, observations, actions, treatments, feedings, harvests, and notes. Records are structured so you can compare colonies and find older information quickly.

Tabular data for large operations

Many parts of b.tree use tables because tables are still the fastest way to work with many records. You can scan, sort, filter, and compare hive data without losing context. This is useful for professional beekeepers, organic beekeepers, and migratory operations with many colonies.

Export your data

b.tree is designed so your beekeeping data is not locked away. Data can be exported as CSV for spreadsheets, archives, reporting, or custom analysis. Premium users can also use API access and calendar exports for deeper integrations.

Treatments, feedings, harvests, and inspections

Track the most important beekeeping events in one place. Document varroa treatments, feed amounts, honey harvests, checkups, and follow-up tasks. This creates a reliable history for each hive and apiary.

Tasks, calendar, and iCal

Plan upcoming work with tasks and calendar entries. Premium users can subscribe to calendar data through iCal and see important beekeeping work in their phone or desktop calendar.

Queen rearing and breeding workflows

Create queen rearing methods, plan breeding series, assign queens to colonies, and keep queen-related dates visible in the calendar. b.tree supports structured queen documentation instead of scattered paper notes.

Statistics and comparison

Use responsive statistics to compare harvests, feedings, treatments, varroa data, queen data, and colony performance. Structured records become a data advantage for future decisions.

NFC tag scanning on Android

NFC tag scanning can speed up work at the apiary by linking physical hives to their digital records. This feature is only available on Android devices with browser support for Web NFC.

Multi-user cloud access

b.tree runs in the cloud and supports multiple users. Teams can work on one shared database from different devices without manual syncing.

WizBee AI helper for Premium users

WizBee is the small AI helper for b.tree Premium users. You can record tasks and notes with plain text or voice-style messages instead of filling every field manually. WizBee can also help analyse your beekeeping data and answer questions about your own records.

For this service, b.tree uses Mistral AI from Europe. The focus is European data sovereignty, privacy, and data protection instead of sending beekeeping data to random third-party tools.

AI agent API

The Agent API lets AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, or other LLM agents help with data entry, hive management, feeding plans, and statistics through a secure API.
